Field Notes: Observing Everyday Mothering in Berlin
In Berlin, three mother-artists, accompanied by their young children and life partners, engaged in a process-based residency where conversation became a primary mode of research. Moving fluidly between studio spaces, living quarters, and public sites like playgrounds and bike paths, they explored the rhythms and negotiations of everyday mothering.
Through shared living, cooking, and daily caregiving, the project examined how intimacy, labour, and artistic practice intersect, foregrounding motherhood not as a theme, but as a lived experience.
