• Co-produced with Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa, India, this edition also expands through an open call, inviting three Indian performing artists, Manmeet Devgun, Aneesha Grover and Sumedha Bhattacharyya to present their perspectives. We created an 90-minute performance in the setting of a theatre, audiences are invited to interact with different lectures, archival videos, objects and group discussion at their desire. Motherhood and Otherhood are universal experiences that transcend geographical boundaries, yet they are often framed through narrow cultural lenses that fail to capture their full diversity and complexity, especially within Asian Contexts. This edition challenges these limitations by bringing together Asian artist to collaboratively reimagine and craft new narratives that reflect their agency entangled with cultural beliefs and the social context they live in.

  • In the lively city of Goa, the M(Other)HOOD team conducted a series of spontaneous street interviews, asking passersby a simple yet open-ended question: “What could be a Mother?”

  • The FullMoon Meeting is a monthly online gathering is one of our practices under M(Other)Hood, for thoes who engaged in caregiving and Mothering practices. Aligning with a consistent lunar cycle helps us create a rhythm for continuity and accountability in our collective research.
