2025 Encounter: 媽組人生:台南母域/M(Other)HOOD: Matri Zone- Tainan Edition

17/11 Grateful for the generous encounter with 于瑋 透南風創辧人, and for her openness in sharing her long journey of building civil partnerships 社會共生in Taiwan.

It all began with her experience during the 921 earthquake — a moment that reshaped how she understood connection, care, and collective response. Since then, she has been actively developing projects that bring people together, cultivating the delicate infrastructures of community life.

when she said:“The civil space has a rolling energy, which can react fast to needs from the ground.” Her words remind me of respond-ability — the ability to respond with attentiveness and imagination to what arises around us.

Thank you, 于瑋, for the warmth of your presence and for gifting us your publication — a record of the winds and hands that hold communities together.

In return, I brought a book born of four years of fieldwork in Kaohsiung, documenting local producers and their grounded practices of making and living.

May these exchanges continue to circulate like a southern wind — carrying stories, care, and collective movement.

If you happen to be in Tainan and looking for coffee house for well made bread and coffee, selection of books etc. visit them.
